All you need is a safe environment to work with your horse. You will find my approach miles away from the average traditional instructor shouting confusing instructions. Talent can be taught, as with a teaspoon of raw talent, tutoring, and planned, purposeful consistent practice you and your horse can realize your full potential.
My aim is to inspire you and your horse and to show a better way to work with your horse. I launched the National Horse and Pony Network's website in 2008, created the FREE information content and made numerous connections to experts. I also write for national magazines and have had articles published.
With my tutoring you can transform your riding and learn how to train your horse using the lightest of touch to work happily, softly and correctly. The methods I can teach you will enable you to better communicate with your horse both on the ground and from the saddle. I am professional, people and horse relationship oriented, reliable and honest. My thorough and wide hands on experience of natural horsemanship and traditional horsemanship enables me to come up with effective solutions to problems using the language of the herd so horses and riders can realize their full potential. If you would like to know more about my horsemanship methods I would be delighted to share my insights in more depth so please get in touch. As it is not a quick thing to describe, briefly:-
I don’t have a one size fits all approach. I work very closely with my clients to put together individual and bespoke sessions to suit their needs and goals. In my horsemanship tutoring sessions I teach using teaching methods that compliment the learning styles for each horse and human. I have a wealth of expertise and knowledge on how to support horse and human to achieve goals through structured facilitated learning that is interactive and fun. Horsemanship Magazine featured my article Plan to Succeeed in the December 2010 / January 2011 issue.
When appropriate I use cognitive behavioural techniques blended with natural horsemanship methods. Cognitive behavioural techniques help you better understand your horse and yourself as a rider. This is very effective for confidence building for both horse and rider. I have supported many horses and riders in resolving their personal confidence issues. I wrote a confidence building article for Horsemanship Magazine June / July 2010 issue. Plus I have produced an interactive workbook to compliment structured lessons. I teach and practice my own method of horsemanship which is very gentle and effective as it uses the language of the herd. With my tutoring you can develop your skills so you and your horse can work together softly in harmony. Along with this I work with horses that are very challenging. Often I am called in as the last resort, with a whole heap of problems to work through. Sometimes this requires working with a range of other equine professionals, vets, physiotherapists, saddlers, equine dentists, and alternative health practitioners. I have very strong working relationships with a number of equine specialists which I can call upon. I have a track record of effectively getting results, by tackling problems one step at a time and supporting both horse and owner through each of these steps.

I work on a freelance basis and will travel to you and your horse within Coventry, Warwickshire and surrounding Midlands areas for private and group lessons. Plus I offer clinic format within England to a minimum group of 4 people.

I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience this includes lecturing at two universities on degree courses.
