Safety is a very large part for Horse Agility it is important that the skills required to compete are learnt and developed via training. The training for Horse Agility has many benefits these include:-

The sport is great for people who can’t or don’t want to ride, disabled people who are unable to ride but can move alongside a horse as it completes the obstacle course, horses that are unable to be ridden for behavioural or physical reasons, or ponies that are too small for an adult rider, or riders looking for a non riding challenge etc... It gives everyone the chance to compete without having to ride or spend hours preparing their horse for non-ridden showing classes. In short Horse Agility offers riding and non-riding horse lovers a completely new way of being involved in a competitive equestrian sport that is active and exciting which has never been available to them before.
In this exciting sport the horse has to overcome a number of challenging obstacles, sometimes against the clock, being guided by a handler who moves along with him. There are levels of competition this makes it easy for you to get started with Horse Agility and it enables you to develop new skills and progress through to the higher levels.
People are finding that the Horse Agility competitions and training and are rewarding, and fun. It is also a great way to meet like minded people. All horses and ponies can join in Horse Agility whether they are ridden or not in other competitions, they just need to be in good physical condition. Everyone can join in - children and adults of all ages and ability. The goal is the people do the horse training the horse does most of the energetic bit!

If you love horses and want to learn how to care correctly for horses then this six session course is for you. You don't need to own a horse to attend this course. So if you love riding, love horses, ride at a riding school, share or loan a horse, are thinking of buying a horse, own a horse and want to brush up on your skills, etc...then this is a great course for you. This fun, informative course will run from Willow Farm's cosy cafe area so there will be a good supply of tea and biscuits too. You maybe worried about learning as maybe it is a while since you studied, well no need to worry as soon as you walk into Willow Farm you will made comfortable with a very warm, friendly welcome. This fun, informative course will enable you to learn in a relaxing environment supported by friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff plus you will meet like minded people. The six sessions will enable you to gain the knowledge to sit the BHS examination and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
